Edge Induced Cohesion: 2017 In Review

In contrast to previous years [1][ where I wrote at considerable length about the posts that were popular during the course of the year, I wish to shorten things considerably this year.  Generally, the same few posts are viewed every year and it is becoming increasingly difficult to say something new about them that has not been said half a dozen times before.  So I will post a more bare-bones edition of this review and only comment at length about new articles that have reached the top 20 that I have not had the chance to comment on before.  This will save those people who read this post from having to read more repeated comments about how I am surprised that my fairly ordinary and introductory material tends to be the most popular material I write about.  Also included, of course, will be my top 20 nations who viewed this blog as I find that rather interesting.  With that said, here is my top 20 in reverse order, starting with some honorable mentions:
