There are some nights where I am so deep in thought and reflection that the words flow long and keep me up far later than I would wish to be. Tonight is not one of those nights. To be sure, there is plenty of material to ponder, much to put as lessons learned or lessons to be applied in some fashion, but after a week that has greatly tested my nerves, I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep and feeling better, if hopefully a bit wiser. Since my body is telling me that it’s time to rest, hopefully without any nightmares or anything else to break up the sleep, I figure it might be time to listen to the body for a change and be kind on myself. There’s nothing I would say tonight that I couldn’t say tomorrow after the Ladies’ Brunch (where I will still be ridin’ solo despite my best efforts). At any rate, some nights you just need to catch up on about 8 nights worth of anxious sleep lost to worry and stress, and this is one of those nights.
