Naga: Enter The Dragon

Yesterday in one of my messages [1] I spoke about now Egypt in the Bible is often represented by the naga (water dragon) Rahab. It should be noted in the Canaanite religion that the Canaanite sky-god Baal was often seen as fighting against the water dragon Rahab or Mot in heathen literature of the time, like the Ugaritic hymns. The Phillistines also worshiped a naga, Dagon, though he was technically a grain god, and not a “god of the sea,” at least according to the various pagan idols that have been found of him.

Of course, nagas and dragons are not only religious figures in the Mediterranean, but are rather found in many parts of the world. East and South Asia appear particularly fond of dragons. Kami are popular in Japan, and are the kind of dragon (like Yoshi) that appear in video games. The chinese dragon is one of the twelve signs of their zodiac, the only “imaginary” animal of the one, and is ubiquitous in their parades and celebration and architecture. Other nagas come from South Asia—and Southeast Asians believe that before humans ruled the earth that the Naga did.

I had a conversation yesterday afternoon, after services, with Ajan Leon and we discussed the fact that Dr. Herman Hoeh, another one of the rare breed of Church of God intellectuals, once studied the relationship of the different beliefs in dragon gods around the world as one of the interlocking aspects of human history. I happen to consider the naga to be the representations of demons (Satan is a serpent, in fact, a dragon, in scripture—see Revelation 12). The reptillian beasts of Revelation as a whole would seem to represent the naga well, as a sign of demonic rulership and influence.

There is a larger significance in all of this. For one, the naga, though clearly on the same “side,” are often seen fighting with other naga. For example, the Buddha was said to have fought with a naga until he made the naga into his personal protector (or perhaps the naga was his enemy until it realized that Buddha was not a threat to its continued dominance over society). The conflict between different naga, though, would seem to provide more anecdotal evidence of the division of Satan’s kingdom between mutually hostile fiefdoms.

After all, that is what we see in Satan influenced humanity, so we should expect to see nothing less as we go up from humans to the demonic handlers of this division. If we therefore see naga or dragons as demons, they cease to become “imaginary” creatures at all, and their appearance all around the world would then be evidence of the demonic influence over the entire world, which is precisely what we should expect from scripture. The fact that the demonic world is internally competitive, as are the human governments and institutions, especially as that was revealed through storie about fighting dragons and naga in world literature and myth, would also then serve as evidence that Satan’s divided kingdom would fail becaue it lacked the unity of the Body of Christ. The hard part, though, is recognizing and achieving the unity that we ought to see in our own families, institutions, and churches, and not being divided ourselves, showing our own ungodliness and the influence of Satan on dividing our own kingdom against itself.

    Its puzzling to me how you broke down the ANCEINT HISTORY OF ASIA (before Serapis) but you failed to connect the fictional history of “Jesus the Christ” who is really Serapis Christus. The Greeks came into Egypt and knew there power would be short so, they wanted the Egyptians to make them a god because they didnt have one (didn’t have a alphabet either) so the Egyptian Coptic’s of Lower Egypt (Northern Part close to Europe) went into the Egyptian mythology and replaced Osiris with Serapis. Whose image is of Soter I or Ptolemy I. Then the Romans came and ended Greek Power but choose to keep Serapis Christus. Thats why the Vatican operates the way it does the POPE being the White Version of Osiris imitating Pharaoh. AND THE BIBLE AS WE NOW IT AME ABOUT IN THE 16TH CENTURY, AFTER THE MOORS TRANSLATED THE GREEKS WORK WHEN EUROPEANS FORGOT ABOUT THEM. THE 16TH CENTURY IS EUROPE’S CMING OUT OF THE DARK AGES OF SAVAGERY WITH A CONCEPT OF READING AND WRITING.
    Now the Nagas or serpents of ancient was a sign of rebirth or eternal life because the snake can shed his skin.. Study nature and you will understand the nature of ancient religions. The Dragon was just exaggerated. ALL CONQUERORS CAME INTO EGYPT WIT NO CULTURE AND WERE ILLITERATE BUT LEFT EGYPT WITH A CULTURE AND LANGUAGE. STUDY BUDDHA AND WHY HE IS SOMETIMES GREEN AS IS OSIRIS. !!PLEASE CHECK M FACTS BEFORE REPLYING I CAN THEN FILL IN ANY OTHER GAPS, BUT RESEARCH ALL BOOKS..!!

    • You obviously know your material. I as merely seeking to connect the nagas of Southeast Asia (where Buddhism mixed with the the Hinduism of the ancient Aryans had the nagas), the nagas of East Asia (China and Japan), and the nagas of the Mediterranean (specifically Egypt and the Phillistines). It was not my point to comment specifically on the Roman Catholic Church’s adoption of counterfeit trinities (I did that in a separate post about Gnosticism, showing how the Greek Hellenistic thought was brought wholesale into Catholicism). The points you make are very accurate, though.

        The events you speak of are true as well, just needed some shaping.. A elder provided me with a simply layout for establishing history that I will give to you.. the components that make up history are;
        PEOPLE, PLACES, TIME, AND EVENTS.
        REMEMBER, ALL COMPONENTS MUST BE PRESENT TO PROVE THE HISTORY IS ACCURATE. FOR EXAMPLE,
        a homework assignment for yourself
        JUDAISM IS AN A.D. RELIGION use the compontents to aid you.. Hint ” Khazzars/1st century/option for not choosing Islam or Christianity during the crusades.

      I have a question for you. Have you ever met a real Golden Naga Dragon and how do you know that they are exaggerated if yor have never met and talked to one. I BET IF YOU REALLY TALKED TO ONE, THEN YOU WOULD NOT HAVE AND PROBLEM REALLY KNOWING WHAT ONE REALLY DOES, HOW IT LIVES, IT’S RELIGION, IT’S CULTURAL INTERESTS, WHERE IT LIVES, WHAT COUNTRIES IT HAS LIVED IN, WHAT TYPE OF SCHOOLS IT HAS ATTENDED, HOW YOU BECOME A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON, WHAT IT’S INTERESTS ARE, HOW IT FEELS ABOUT POLOTICS, WHAT IT’S FAVORITE COLOR IS, WHAT IT’S ELEMENT IS, HOW IT COMPARES IT’S SELF TO OTHER DRAGONS, WHAT IT THINKS ABOUT THE BUDDHA, WHAT IT THINKS ABOUT THE BUDDAHIST RELIGION, WHAT TYPE OF HOBBIES IT HAS, WHICH TYPE OF LADYS IT PREFERES TO BE WITH, WHAT TYPE OF WIVES IT HAD DURING IT’S LAST LIFE CYCLE, ETC. …I WAS BORN REBORN BACK IN 1952 AS A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON, SINCE 1952 WAS A WATER DRAGON NEW YEAR, I AM BORN IN SEPTEMBER AND THAT IS A VIRGO AND 1952 IS A WATER DRAGON NEW YEAR. SINCE NAGA DRAGONS ARE THE ONLY DRAGONS THAT HAVE BLUE EYES, THEY ARE CONSIDERED SPECIAL WATER DRAGONS. I HAVE BLUE EYES AND I WAS REBORN IN A WATER DRAGON NEW YEAR. SINCE THE BUDDHA I HAVE BEEN REBORN A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON MORE THAN 834 TIMES AND JUST IN SEPTEMBER I WAS REBORN A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON AND I HAVE JUST STARTED MY NEXT LIFE CYCLE, EVERY 60 YEARS I AM REBORN A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON AND AT THAT TIME I AM REBORN A GOLDEN NAGA DRAGON. MY NEXT LIFE CYCLE WILL BE IN 2072, SO I HAVE TO CELEBRATE MY NEW YEAR EVERY DAY SINCE IT WILL BE 60 YEARS BEFORE I SEE MY NEW YEAR AGAIN. IN MANY CULTURES AROUND THE WORLD I AM A MYTH OR LEGEND, BUT AS I TELL THE ASIAN COMMUNITIES WHERE I LIVE: “SOMETHING VERY OLD HAS BECOME NEW ONCE AGAIN.”

      MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER MET A REAL NAGA DRAGON AND MANY DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY REALLY DO EXIST, BUT WHAT DO THEY KNOW. I EXIST AND I AM VERY REAL AND MANY IN THE ASIAN COMMUNITY A IN SHOCK WHEN I SHOW THEM WHAT I AM. BY THE WAY I CAN LOOK INTO THE FUTURE AND I KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN BEFORE IT REALLY HAPPENS AND THAT IS NOT MAGIC OR BEING A PHYSIS EITHER SINCE THEY HAVE VERY LIMITED POWERS TO SEE VERY FAR IF ANY.

    ALSO study the 16th century and the role the church played on keeping the historians in line, the invention of hell by th church, science vs. The Church.. Then Go back at my last comment on Serapis and look at 325 A.D Council of Nicea and Council of Ephesus.. Remember were just scientists (science root word “to know”) who has something to lose and gain by religion? The wealth sinners of the church Popes, Bishops, “Fathers” you name it.. The Nagas being evil didn’t come about until these Aryans from the Northern Mountains came in just as the Greeks invaded the Etruscans and Minoans who built Greece.. This people practice ” you keep what you kill” sounds familiar huh ?
    Remember people will hate you for having knowledge

    One last statement;
    study the crusades and know its wasn’t over religion. The Church in the Dark Ages ( dark ages because the Moors pushed the European out of the Mediterranean) feasted on the people under a system called “Feudalism” a time of Lords, Dukes, and Servs or servants.. The Church created hell to get the people to pay more tides. The people were ready to take over when Peter the wonderer went to Jerusalem which was under muslin control and told the people when he got back that ” these infidels shouldn’t be there” So, the church gave the people a outlet…
    Then study the Children’s Crusade and how there own elders sold them to the muslins was they got to Jerusalem after the few survived the cold hunger and famine.

    • I have spoken elsewhere about the evils of Feudalism as well (“My Private Nation”) and also reviewed a work for a military history society from the Islamic perspective of the Crusades (“De Re Militari Publishes Book Review”), so those are issues I have addressed as well. I do not believe that the majority of Jews are Khazars (unlike some), but it seems very likely that Khazaria was a refuge for many Jews, as was Moorish Spain, through the early part of the Middle Ages. These are issues that would require a book to discuss in their full form, whereas I usually break up the subject to talk about little by little in blogs.
