I have an online acquaintance who I share an interest in music charts in, which accounts for my knowing this person, who actually believes that as a trans “woman” the right-voting people of the United States of America want to exterminate such a person from existence. No doubt such people exist, but the vast majority among those who consider themselves conservatives are not interested in exterminating others even where they consider such behavior wrong and would refuse to use a person’s preferred pronouns. Yet such people, who feel themselves unsafe, have no compunctions about trying to destroy the freedom of religion and speech so that no one can criticize them or their wicked way of life without fear of punishment. And it is precisely that sort of action on a part of corrupt governments supported by morally corrupt voters who only care about having the right to do wrong without being held accountable for it that makes all decent and upright people unsafe.
There was a video that was proposed on my YouTube algorithm that stated that Civil War was inevitable in the United States. I have long pondered whether or not that is the case, but more and more I am inclined to believe that it is, and it is for the reasons stated above. We have reached a point where there are (at least) two sides whose feelings and reality of safety depend on being free to act in ways that make other people feel unsafe and put them in actual danger. This is true over a large span of the world–not just the United States, it must be admitted–and it includes a lot of different issues in which there are real zero-sum divides between humanity that, when we examine them together, indicate that there will be no security as long as this state remains in play. Ultimately, one side must be victorious, and victorious to such an extent that the other is either exterminated or driven into some sort of sumbission.
How do we see this phenomenon play out? Let us count some ways. For some time now, there has been a rash of shootings that have been committed by various people on the left–many of them have written left-wing manifestos that showcase mental illness in some fashion as well as hostility against Christians, Jews, conservatives in general, and others. Some of them show a self-hate that comes from the “social justice” movement of its manifest and extreme injustice, including blatant and unrepented racism against whites. As a result of such violence, many leftists appear driven to support actions that seek to remove from people the right to defend themselves via deadly force. In Europe, we see an even more extreme form of knife regulations that purport to make society safer by removing weapons from law-abiding citizens, only to leave them dependent on corrupt police officers and subject to rule by criminal elements who break all kinds of laws, including gun or knife control laws, as any sane person could predict. Similarly, those laws that seek to make certain areas “safe spaces” without guns make those places easy targets for those who violate the law and unsafe spaces for those who obey it.
This trend would be ominous enough if it merely reflected two groups of citizens within a country, who disagree profoundly about what makes them feel safe as opposed to being safe. Unfortunately, the insecurity of corrupt elites who wish to hold themselves unaccountable to the people they are supposed to serve must also be taken into account. It is their fear of justice which ultimately drives the insecurity of the contemporary world. They wish to inspire others to live in fear by promoting endless crises that demand increased power for them, power that they never give back because the crises are never declared to be over. They wish for others to be unable to travel, unable to defend themselves, unable to heat themselves, unable to eat, unable even to live, while they live in luxury. They claim environmental reasons for much of this, while they live in large houses, fly private jets, and generally do not care about their own ecological footprint. They gain public office and acquire millions and tens of millions and even hundreds of millions (or billions) of dollars through insider trading, bribery, and other forms of corruption, even while they seek to attack the means by which ordinary people gain their livelihoods. It is their insecurity in the face of their evil doings that makes everyone else insecure in a state, and until they are replaced with those who will serve the people instead of only themselves, we can have no hope of a widespread good life for those who wish to live decently.
