It’s Like An EP

For those who are not familiar with the language of music, an ep (or extended play) is longer than a single (which is a single song with a couple of extra songs that are called b-sides, from the age of vinyl and cassette tapes) but shorter than a full album. To give an example, Keane released an EP with eight songs on it between their third and fourth proper albums, and it had a couple of excellent songs on it, namely “Stop For A Minute” and “My Shadow”. Anyway, I digress. This post is somewhat like an ep because it’s longer than a short little twitter comment about where I am but shorter than the full-length posts or multi-album length posts I normally write. I am doing a bit of an experiment, in that this post, and the next one, have been written ahead of time using the schedule publish feature on Facebook, which seems to work, and will probably change the way I blog a bit.

Tomorrow, after work, I am going to the Men’s campout for my church outside of Corvallis. I have already scheduled a post that should answer at least a few questions people might have about the event or my weekend, at least those people from my local area who tend to read it, and others who may appreciate the sarcastic sense of humor I sometimes have about my life. For everyone else (including my roommates), I wanted to give a brief note to say where I’ll be for the next couple of days, so that no one has to worry about me or anything like that. I figure it’s easier to communicate en masse sometimes rather than try to remember who I told what to, since I’m not very good at remembering what I have talked about with others.
